Trends in rates of retinal surgery in England from 1968 to 2004: Studies of Hospital Statistics

Together with other leading practitioners, Mr El-Amir has examined in detail the data showing an increasing trend in vitro-retinal surgery in England. Despite the increase there is a statistically significant geographical variation in the current annual rate of surgery between local authorities in England. Their results have been published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology.
